Tim Grieveson is Senior Vice President - Global Cyber Security Risk Advisor at Bitsight, helping organizations transform how they measure and manage their cybersecurity performance and risk based on years of experience as a CSO, CISO, CIO, and Senior Technology Leader.
Recognised as one of the UKs Top 30 Security professionals awarded by the CSO30 Grieveson’s career spans more than 25 years of technology leadership and 18 years of information security experience, which has enabled him to become a respected market influencer in both Cyber and Security risk management.
Prior to joining Bitsight, Grieveson was Chief Security Officer & SVP Information Security (CSO) at AVEVA, a global software development company now part of Schneider Electric where he was responsible for Cyber & Physical Security, Crisis Management, Business Resilience, Security Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Travel & Event Security, Risk Management, Governance & Security Strategy globally.
Certified Information Security Managers certification (CISM), he has led strategic programs and managed annual budgets up to £58m, while building and managing globally diverse teams from 20 up to 400 people.
He is an recognised and inspirational security leader and "Chief Story-telling Officer", frequent keynote speaker, blogger, social media thought leader and trusted expert who has a keen interest in helping global enterprises protect themselves from cyber threats while championing the notion that security should be positioned as an enabler of the business and supporting business outcomes - rather than being another IT cost center.
Like many CIO and CISO peers Grieveson has time in both Corporate CIO / CISO / CSO roles leading IT and Security as well as on the supplier side advising clients globally.
Grieveson was previously the founder and CEO and CISO of CyberCiso Security Limited, an IT & Security consulting company which he formed to support international clients with their information security and technology transformation programmes and has been on several Customer Advisory boards over the years to help shape the security industry capabilities.
Holding multiple security certifications, including CISM, Grieveson is very active in the global information security community and when not out challenging the security status quo, he is a passionate Formula One fan, once lucky enough to be invited onto the grid at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone where he met his racing hero Lewis Hamilton whilst mingling with the celebrities.
