Tom Corn

Chief Product Officer, Ontinue

As Chief Product Officer for Ontinue, Tom drives the vision and development of Ontinue solutions. He oversees product management, product marketing, engineering, our security operations center (SOC), and our advisory and Technical Account Managers. Previously, Tom was Chief Product Officer at Open Systems.

With over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, Tom has also led security product teams at market-leading companies, including VMware and RSA. He joined Open Systems in August 2021 after serving as Senior Vice President in VMware’s Security Business Unit.

Prior to VMware, Tom held executive leadership roles at RSA Security, where he served as GM of the Data Security Business Unit. As RSA’s Chief Strategy and Technology Officer, he oversaw corporate strategy, M&A, alliances, advanced development and the CTO office.

Tom holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BS in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Theus Hossmann

Director of Data Science, Ontinue

Theus Hossmann is Director of Data Science for Ontinue. He is responsible for everything around data, data science and AI, and leads Ontinue’s team of expert data scientists and data engineers. Theus has published dozens of papers on applied AI and machine learning for top-tier conferences and journals such as ACM and IEEE. Theus earned his PhD in Applied Machine Learning from ETH Zürich, Switzerland.

Chris Holden

CISO, Crum & Forster

Chris Holden is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Crum & Forster, a leading national property, casualty and accident & health insurer with a large, diversified specialty platform. In his role, Chris is responsible for the day-to-day security of the organizations information systems and data while adhering to regulatory requirements. Chris started his career as a Forensics Analyst for Hewlett-Packard’s Global Cybersecurity team. While at HP he ran digital evidence collections for internal investigations related to e-discovery matters, breach incident response, HR and policy investigations. After leaving HP, Chris moved on to consulting roles where he worked on both incident response engagements as well as proactive services, helping build and assess security programs for globally recognized organizations. Chris received his Bachelor’s degree in Cyber & Information Security from Utica College of Syracuse University.

Prior to JC2, John spent 25+ years with Cisco, serving as CEO, Chairman, and Executive Chairman. He currently holds the title of Chairman Emeritus of Cisco. John is the author of Connecting the Dots: Lessons for Leadership in a Startup World, where he shares lessons for success in the Digital Age. He is the Chairman of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum and Global Ambassador of the French Tech under French President Macron.

Professor Joseph Grundfest

Former SEC Commissioner and Served on the Staff of the President's Council of Economic Advisors. Currently, Professor of Law and Business at Stanford University and Senior Faculty for Corporate Governance.

Joe Grundfest is the William A. Franke Professor of Law and Business (emeritus) at Stanford Law School. Joe served as a Commissioner of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission from 1985 to 1990.

He is a former director of KKR, Inc., Oracle Corp., and Financial Engines, Inc, which he co-founded with William Sharpe, the 1990 Nobel Laureate in Economics. His scholarship has been published in the Harvard, Yale, and Stanford Law Reviews, and he has been recognized as among the most influential attorneys and directors in the United States.

Mark Hughes

President, Security, DXC Technology

Mark Hughes is president of Security for DXC Technology. He is responsible for DXC’s Security business including cyber defense, digital identity, secured infrastructure and security risk management. Mark joined DXC from BT, a world-leading global telecommunications provider, where he most recently served as chief executive of BT Security. He joined BT in 2002 and held a variety of senior appointments, including key government customer-facing roles. In 2013 Mark led the formation of BT Security, which has become a global leader with 3,000 cyber security experts across 15 security operation centers globally and double-digit annual revenue growth. Earlier in his career, Mark was the commercial director at MWB Business Exchange. He began his career in the British Army. Mark has served on national boards, including the Cyber Growth Partnership for the United Kingdom, and the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Cybersecurity Board. Awarded a BSc with honors by the University of Leicester, Mark trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and the Junior Division of Staff College. He was awarded military advanced certificates in French and German from the University of Westminster.

Jim Shook

Jim combines his computer science degree and technical experience with over a decade as a litigator and general counsel, helping customers to better understand cybersecurity best practices and related regulatory and legal concerns. Today he focuses mainly on ransomware and destructive attacks, and combating their impact with cyber resilience capabilities and technologies. Jim has led Dell Technologies' relationship with Sheltered Harbor and serves on its Joint Steering Committee. He is a long-time participant in and contributor to the Sedona Conference working groups on electronic information and cybersecurity and privacy.

Brett Foy

Staff Solution Architect, VMware

A member of VMware's Cloud Incubation team, Brett focuses on helping customers, partners, VMware field and others with enablement for new VMware Cloud technologies. Brett came to VMware in July 2020 as part of the Datrium acquisition and has been largely focused on both VMware Cloud Disaster Recovery and VMware Cloud Flex Storage, both solutions having been developed from Datrium technologies. Most of Brett's time recently has been helping with the evangelism and education around the risk of ransomware and lack of general recovery technologies that inhibit our customers' ability to manage meaningful recovery strategies to execute a quick return to service.

He now serves as the Data-Driven Defense Evangelist for KnowBe4. He has worked at some of the world’s largest computer security companies, including Foundstone, McAfee and Microsoft. Grimes holds a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University. He was the weekly security columnist for InfoWorld and CSO magazines from 2005-2019.
