As artificial intelligence adoption by businesses skyrockets, AI-related risks must be mapped and incorporated into existing knowledge around how data centers and services are protected.

Integrating AI into Orca's existing security posture management capabilities offers deep visibility into cloud environments, enabling better risk mapping and protection, according to co-founder and CEO Gil Geron. Preventing issues during the development life cycle greatly reduces risk in production settings, and Geron said Orca has invested in offering deep visibility and context into production environments (see: Orca Promotes CPO Gil Geron to CEO to Drive Efficient Growth).

"Because we have such deep visibility and context into your production environment, we can easily map where you're using these AI services, what is the potential impact of using these services, and whether it was intended and monitored or just someone playing with a new technology," Geron said.

In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Geron also discussed:

  • The integration of AI in security posture management and its impact on cloud security;
  • The importance of preventing issues early in the development life cycle;
  • Challenges in source code management and solutions provided by Orca.

Geron has more than 20 years of experience leading and delivering cybersecurity products. Prior to becoming CEO in March 2023, he was chief product officer since Orca's 2019 inception. Before co-founding Orca Security, Geron spent nearly 11 years at Check Point Software, culminating in a 19-month stint overseeing the company's cybersecurity gateway and cloud products.
