Bateman is the senior vice president and CISO at City Bank, a $3 billion retail community bank based in Lubbock, Texas. He was formerly the information security officer and assistant vice president for information technology at Texas Tech University. He is a Texas Tech University Whitacre College of Engineering Distinguished Engineer.
