Traditional server security controls were not built for ransomware, cryptojacking and other modern attacks. Paul Murray of Sophos discusses deep learning, anti-exploit technology and other key elements of the new wave of server defenses.

Murray, product director at Sophos, is particularly concerned about the new generation of threat actors and threats targeting enterprise servers.

"Servers are the bullseye," Murray says. "They're often the target of the determined cybercriminal in many cases, and a successful attack on a server can devastate an organization."
