As nation-state directed cybercrime increases, the FBI is bringing counter-intelligence expertise to bear in its investigations. Todd Carroll of the FBI's Chicago field office talks about attack trends and the new skills and collaboration needed to stop attackers.
In a video interview at Information Security Media Group's recent Fraud and Breach Prevention Summit in Chicago, Carroll discusses:
- The FBI's evolving approach to cybercrime;
- What organizations should know about the FBI's role in investigations;
- How organizations can work with law enforcement to prevent cyberattacks.
Carroll is assistant special agent in charge responsible for the intelligence operations branch of the FBI's Chicago field office. He supervises 200 employees and is responsible for all human and technical collection, language translation, crisis response programs and strategic outreach.
