He says it is also important to "test the plan often through exercises and simulations" and to "plug the gaps and then test again."

Prior to joining FS-ISAC, Barel was managing director at data and intelligence provider Acuris Group, where he set up the risk and compliance business for APAC, focusing on AML/KYC screening, cybersecurity and enhanced due diligence.
