Ahmad works closely with clients to develop and implement practical pre- and post-breach mitigation strategies. He advises risk assessments, compliance, due diligence, risk allocation, security and data breach incident preparedness, as well as engages with regulators and law enforcement, providing representation in case of litigation. Ahmad sits on the Canadian Advanced Technologies Alliance's Cyber Security Council and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Ontario Bar Association's Privacy and Access to Information Law Section. Recently, he was appointed to the National Cyber Security Leadership Council on Youth and Education. Prior to his call to the bar, Ahmad was a political adviser to retired Lieutenant-General and Senator Roméo A. Dallaire, and clerked for Justice Edmond P. Blanchard at the Federal Court of Canada and Competition Tribunal in Ottawa.
